Water Softeners

An ion-exchange system that removes calcium and magnesium — the minerals behind hard-water scale, spotted dishes, dry skin, and premature wear on pipes, water heaters, and appliances.

What it is

Hard water, solved at the source

Hard water carries dissolved calcium and magnesium picked up as it moves through soil and rock. Those minerals don't make water unsafe, but they do leave scale on fixtures and inside appliances, make soap harder to lather, and leave dishes and glassware spotted no matter how carefully you wash them.

A water softener uses ion exchange to pull those hardness minerals out before they reach your plumbing, replacing them with sodium or potassium ions that don't cause scale. The result is water that's easier on your skin, your soap, your dishes, and everything downstream that hard water would otherwise wear on over time.

  • Sized by household grain hardness
  • Protects plumbing & appliances long-term
How it works

Ion exchange, on autopilot

01

Ion exchange

Hard water passes through a resin bed of tiny beads that attract and hold calcium and magnesium ions, releasing sodium or potassium ions in exchange.

02

Softened water delivery

Softened water then flows out to the home's plumbing, free of the minerals that cause scale and spotting.

03

Automatic regeneration

On a schedule matched to your usage, the system flushes the resin bed with brine from the attached brine tank, restoring its softening capacity, then rinses to drain.

Benefits

Why soften your water

No more scale buildup

Fixtures, glassware, and dishes stay clear instead of filming over with hard-water spots.

Appliances last longer

Water heaters, dishwashers, and washing machines see far less scale buildup, extending their working life.

Softer on skin and hair

Softened water is gentler to bathe and wash with, and uses less soap and detergent to get the same result.

Sized to your home

Matched to your household's grain hardness and water usage so the regeneration cycle runs efficiently, not constantly.
